"And she was lying in the grass." -Talking Heads

Today was the most beautiful day in France. Maybe the most beautiful day that has every happened in my life. We visited Fontainbleu today, and I have never experienced anything quite like it. I couldn't possibly describe its beauty and splendor. So I'll just post thousands of photos from today. I couldn't have used "today" any more in this paragraph. Where is Mrs. Yeates with her red pen when I need her. Today today today today today.
Upon arrival, I went to use the restroom. Ahead of me in line was an entire 1st grade class with one teacher. She was having everyone of them go to the bathroom, and the stall doors were wide open. I saw countless curly-haired little boys sitting on the pot, resting their head in their hands as they did their business. They jumped off the throne with their pants down, and wiped their little bums right in front of me. I was wiping gentle tears from my eyes because I was trying so hard to stifle laughter. Oh man, it was too much for me. Wish I could have taken photos or something--- but, we both know how well that would have gone over.
After the tour, we went and sat on the shore of the pond in the grass and just laid there for hours. Reading, writing in our journals, talking, looking, sleeping. We waded in the fountain and splashed our feet in the pond. It was the most perfect day. Hot and sunny, birds were chirping, ducks were quacking, waves were hitting the shore. If I had any patience for poetry, I might have written some.
Shout Outs: Debra! I hope everything went okay for prom! Thought about you guys that night. Miss you! Bailey. Write me an email.

These are some of the very kids whose bums I saw.

We didn't realize this was happening until we saw the photo.

He growled at me.
